About HMS - WWII

A file of Marines

HMS have recently branched out into World War II Royal Navy re-enactment. This all began as an alternative dress for evenings out at major re-enactment events such as History in Action and the London Historical Spectacular. However this has now become a branch of our re-enactment portfolio.

HMS has undertaken filming work onboard HMS Belfast for a Discovery Channel film about the sinking of the Scharnhorst and for the BBC 'War at Sea' series

We portray a Royal Naval Commando Beach Group as found during combined operations during WWII. Most notably of course during the D-Day operations in Normandy 1944. These land based sailors provided the pivotal link between ships and the land operations. We also have links with other groups, most notably The Garrison.

We also have a group of attractive WRENs who portray the staff of Admiral Ramsay during Operation Neptune (the naval part of D-Day)! Click on the poster at right to view a short film.
